A friend needs a family lawyer in OK, but he just got back to work.

1. Do you work for free? I don't think you'll find a lawyer that does either... in some cases, such as divorce, there are some that will take the case and hold any fee's until the case is settled, and then they settle with you... but not for free.
2. Call the local United Way. They often assist agencies who offer free legal assistance to those who cannot afford it.
