legal advice?

If there was a somewhat illegal act committed 8 and 2 years ago but was never reported until now, do you think the state will take them to court? the person was under 16 years of age at the time of the act

  1. I don't think they will be charged. It depends on the law of that time and their record and under 16's our a minor age therefore they won't be sentenced to jail but in a detention centre but crime that happened 2 to 8 years ago it all depends on how strong the evidence is.
  2. it depends on the crime, certain crimes have statutes of limitations, which means that after a certain amount of time you can not be charged. Murder has no statute of limitations, you can be charged 1 day to 50 or more years from when the crime was commited.
