Is there a source of free legal advice in the united states?

My friend is in desperate need of good legal and financial advice regarding some very serious issues. It will be almost impossible for her to pay normal Lawyer/Solicitor rates. Is there a free source of legal advice in the united states. She lives in Florida. ANY help would be HUGELY appreciated. This is very urgent. Thank you so much for reading. -James P.S. Over here in the UK there is the Citizens advice Beurau who give free advice, is there an equivalent?
