How can I get some free legal advice on a Family court issue?

I am currently in a situation where my daughter's Mother has been jerking me around. After a episode where my daughter tried killing herself my ex allowed me to have her for the weekend. However, after returning her she has again denied me. I want my daughter with me. I need legal advice on how to start. The other details I forgot to mention which were asked is this. There is a court order that My daughter's Mother has custody. I gave her custody when my daughter was younger and the court was ordering visitation. However, now that my daughter is older, age six. My ex has been been making the visitation ope to when she wants to allow me to see her. Because I live in Erie County in Pennsylvania and she lives in Chautauqua County in New York. She knows it is difficult for me to just go to court when she starts problems. The CPS has been called on her and m daughetr tried committing suicide in her care.

  1. From your post it would seem you have no visitation / custody rights? Is that correct that there does not exist a custody order from the court? Also, where is this occurring? How old is the child?

  3. I know it is an old saying but if you can afford a lawyer then best option If not then maybe a father resources in your area would have somewhere to go to maybe show you the ropes on the family court and procedures Do you have a court order visitation schedule? and is is in contempt of that order, or do you have no court visitation anyway you will have to file a motion with the family courts, either seeking a court order visitation schedule or enforcement of the old if you are worried about your child welfare, then almost a motion for change in custody, but that is not an easy motion for a laymen to write, need expert testimony from a DR/Shrink, an evaluation of the ex home etc
