What do you all think about Pre-Paid Legal Services?
Can you really make a lot of money in this business?

- It's a scam business that's been around for many years. They sell useless legal services to people who statistically don't need it.
- I would not use a prepaid attorney. Imagine being seriously hurt and using the prepaid attorney. Would you trust him????????
- As a small business owner, I would not go to the office without them :). The amount of calls I have to make to a lawyer weekly in my service industry, or in reviewing contracts, or potential collections issues, would allow bury me in bills with most lawyers. Most prepaid legal services include those types of consulting, contract reviews & modifications, etc. Plus with most offering typically 20-25% discounts off the normal fees, and having my choice of interviewing the lawyers they DO have available at various firms...it saves me allot more in the long run. It works for some business models, for others it doesn't.
- I was in it for 5 years and the best way I can tell you if you need a lawyer for a ticket to try to get it reduced any lawyer can do that if you contact them. If you a have a problem with another prepaid legal individual you cannot use a prepaid lawyer. And if you don't play the game as far as getting others involved then your left behind if you don't have a 150 in your account when you quit then they keep your money what does this tell you?
- Like anything else, you have to put time, effort, and money into anything you want to be successful at. What is your success worth to you? Answer: Anything it takes, that is legal! Click on our picture and IM us...
- Pre-Paid Legal Services to me is like having home insurance. You pay for something that you may use in the future. You are paying for something that you are not sure if you will be using or not. For some people this is a good service. I prefer to do my legal businesses locally because they are uptodate with the rules and laws.
- You don't make a lot of money in this type of venture. Your lucky if you get anyone to sign up. Good luck.
- I don't see how. The minute I paid for a service like that I'd start bugging the crap out of them with my inane questions, instead of this board. I can't imagine someone doing it and not overusing it.
- only if you are willing to work hard and long...just like anything else... DILIGENCE
- FOR PRIVATE HOME OWNERS I WOULD SAY YES, THEY SELDOM NEED ATTORNEYS.
- I was, at one time a member of pre-paid legal. This is a multi level marketing gimmick. Most people never will use all the services that they offer. Also there are stipulations to all services they offer. You may never use any products offered. You'll pay a monthly fee for somethings you may never use. It will be sold to you like an insurance. But the person doing the selling is not even a licensed agent in most cases. Although some states do require them to be licensed. The person selling you this product is trying their hand at a "get rich quick with a little hard work, program."
- I can see were it could be lucritive, how many times have you had a friend or reletive call you from jail with no money for bail?
